Final Fling 2018 - 23rd June

Save the date for LUSC's biggest Final Fling to date! More University's will be joining and more boats than ever to host this epic event!

ROSES 2018 -

LUSC secured a win at Roses! A & B managed to beat York in both sets of races! Hopefully victory will be the same in up and coming years!

The fixture kicks off 11am at the Bolton Sailing Club. The A teams will fight it out first, swiftly followed by the B's. Excitement like this demands to be shared so all are welcome. There will be some transport for a few spectators so standby for more details.

As is expected of sailors, the hospitality will be at it’s best with a BBQ lunch and drinks on offer (prices tbc)

After the sailing, a meal in Kashish at 7pm will provide necessary nourishment for the night ahead. The roses festivities will continue well into the night as we will venture into the vibrant town of Lancaster.

Final Fling - TBD

Hey everyone this is the final event of the year!!! we will have a day sailing out at Bolton with BBQ lunch provided. Then back for a curry at Kashish and then sugar. Hallam will also be coming up so freshers who dont get Lallam love yet this is your opportunity to get involved.

Southport 24 Hour Race - 16th of September at 4pm

Pen this date into your diaries, it is not one to miss! Lusc is on tour to Southport for the famous West Lancs 24 hour race.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of attending this event before the race starts at 12:00 on Saturday 17th September and finishes 12:00 on Sunday 18th September. The race is done in a relay style, we will allocate shifts on the day depending on who is in a fit state to sail after the infamous friday night. Anyone of any ability is welcome, everyone will get a chance to sail if they want to. If sailing isn't for you then still come along as the social is the best of the year!

People tend to rock up at somepoint on the Friday and as soon as the boat is sorted and tents are up drinking commences. We then hit the marquee and DJ ENTERPRISE will be raising the roof.

In terms of accomodation we will be camping at the scout hut next to the lake. We will try and bring one big tent so everyone can share (so you don't have to sleep in a bush like Tom did last year). But feel free to bring your own tent if you want. Bring ansleeping bag / blanket / air bed / pillow (be warned it can get cold at night).

Last but certainly not least the 'Best dressed trophy' was stolen from us last year and is currently in the hands of 'Jumbled up LSSA'. This year we will be pulling out all the stops to reclaim our title as THE most recognisable team at Southport. The theme has been chosen, preparations are being made. We certainly won't be missed at this years event. THEME TBA
